Who runs ContractDraft
Hi, I'm Marcus Aius, the founder of ContractDraft. I build web tools for freelancers and independent professionals, and ContractDraft is the contract library I wished existed when I started out: clean templates, organised by profession, free to download, with no email wall.
Freelancers get a raw deal on legal resources. Law firms don't serve them, subscription contract tools charge $30+ a month for features a solo freelancer will never use, and most "free" templates online are behind sign-up walls, out of date, or so poorly written they cause more problems than they solve.
ContractDraft is my answer to that gap. Each template is drafted from current, authoritative sources — relevant statutes, government guidance and established contract practice — and written in plain, editable language for the United States, United Kingdom and Australia. Every page shows when it was last reviewed, and I update them when the underlying laws change.
To keep the templates free, the site earns revenue through Google AdSense and affiliate partnerships with tools like Bonsai that I genuinely think are useful.
I'm not a lawyer, and these templates aren't legal advice. For complex or high-value contracts, have a qualified attorney review the final document. But for the everyday contracts freelancers actually need — service agreements, NDAs, photography contracts — ContractDraft has you covered.
